DeviceAI — Privacy Policy

1. Overview

DeviceAI ("the App") is developed and maintained by Neural Automate. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of the App.

DeviceAI is designed from the ground up to be a privacy-first application. All AI inference runs entirely on your device using on-device language models. No conversations, prompts, or responses are ever sent to our servers or any third-party servers.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Your chat messages, prompts, or AI responses
• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location data
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Crash reports or diagnostics sent externally
• Photos or images you use within the App

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted:

• Conversation history — your chats are saved in a local database (Isar) on your device only
• App settings and preferences — stored locally via device storage
• Downloaded AI models — stored in your device's local file system
• Photos or images — file paths to images you attach to messages are stored locally and never uploaded

You can delete all conversation history at any time from the App's Settings screen. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data permanently.

4. Network Usage

The App connects to the internet only for the following purpose:

• Model downloads — when you choose to download an AI model, the model file is fetched from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) over a secure HTTPS connection. No personal data is sent during this download.

Once a model is downloaded, the App operates fully offline. No other network requests are made during normal use.

5. Camera and Photo Library Access

If you use the vision feature, the App will request access to your camera or photo library to allow you to attach an image to your message. Images are processed entirely on-device by the locally running AI model and are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere.

6. Children's Privacy

DeviceAI is not directed at children under the age of 4. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Third-Party Services

DeviceAI does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external service the App interacts with is Hugging Face, solely for downloading open-source model files. Please review Hugging Face's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle download requests.

8. Data Security

Because all data remains on your device, the security of your data is governed by your device's own security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, device encryption). We recommend keeping your device and operating system up to date.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
